Just Cause 4 – overhauled Supply Drops in new Trailer

Avalanche released a new spotlight video for Just Cause 4 Supply Drops. In this video, we get to see the new supply drop mechanic closelyJust Cause 4 Supply Drops. In contrast to past approaches, these supply drops will form an even bigger gameplay support in form of progression and more. Here is the trailer!

Vehicles

There are the usual changes of an always-growing stockpile of vehicles, weapons, and more. Which players can order on-the-go to the battleground. The number of vehicles alone that you can get delivered has reached an imposing total of 104. This includes an abundance of sports cars but also exotic and large construction site trucks, all sorts of military variants, boats, helicopters, planes and more.

About 6 weeks left for Just Cause 4 to arrive on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Avalanche is continuing with their Spotlight video series of presenting game aspects and mechanics in greater detail. The newest video focuses on supply drops which might sound a bit boring but seeing the extensive overhaul the mechanic has received, it’s anything but.

The new aspects of these supply drops are more interesting, however, as they include their own progression system together with unlocks. By completing missions, conquering areas and raising the chaos-meter, all kinds of new gear gets unlocked for players to use in supply drops.

New modes of supply drop

Not only the contents but the way they are delivered can be upgraded as well. By achieving Chaos Milestones, new pilots get unlocked which increase the rate at which players can call in supply drops.Just Cause 4 So, unlocking them will no doubt enhance the way you play and enable increasingly daring combat scenarios.

RTX 2070 Benchmark Leaked

The Time Spy benchmark is designed for testing DirectX 12 performance. The rig consist of GeForce RTX 2070 and an Intel Core i7-8700K CPU clocked at 3.7 GHz. In the benchmark results, the GeForce RTX 2070 has a boost clock speed of 1950 MHz, compared to 1710 MHz on the Founders Edition RTX 2070.

This first Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 is leaked on a 3DMark benchmark run. It was discovered by Twitter user TUM APISAK. The only 3DMark Time Spy benchmark is done using a custom Zotac graphics card with almost exactly the same specs as the reference RTX 2070 model.

As for the results, the Zotac RTX 2070 GPU clocks in with a score of 8,151, making it somewhat faster than the previous generation GeForce GTX 1080 (~7500). Regarding the overclock at play here, the RTX 2070 looks to be approximately equal to the GTX 1080, or maybe a little faster.

In sessions of the GeForce RTX 2080 and GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, the benchmarker has previously tested those GPUs and scored 9,266 and 10,850 individually.

It’s a nice excursion for the GeForce RTX 2070, although only one benchmark on which to gauge this performance. The one wrinkle, of course, is the price. A GeForce RTX 2070 pre-order is going cost you roughly as much as a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti right now, and yet its benchmark performance comes in at around the same level as a GeForce GTX 1080.

The GeForce RTX 2070 is expected to launch worldwide from October 17th. As it currently stands it will be the cheapest available graphics card that supports real-time ray tracing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Fix, Updates, Increased Player Count

While the duos player count goes up, the quads player count is actually decreasing from 100 to 88. It’s a bit of a role reversal as Treyarch/Beenox continue to investigate any potential latency or stability issues with the 100-player mode. At least this should mean squad wins are a little more achievable, reducing the total number of teams competing from 25 down to 22.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Fix, Updates, Increased Player Count

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is currently working in some strange sphere where it’s out but it’s not the finished article yet, particularly in the regards to its Battle Royale-style Blackout mode. Treyarch continues to roll out patches at a steady clip as it addresses fan issues, with the latest COD BLOPS 4 shunting the COD: Black Ops 4 – Blackout duos player count from 88 up to a nice round 100.

The rest of the changes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Oct. 16 update aren’t quite as interesting, although there are a whole bunch of stability improvements for PC players. This fixes some wide-ranging crash issues such as during an initial boot when disconnecting from a Blackout match, when browsing items, or when changing texture quality. Basically, COD: Black Ops 4 crashes a lot, and this patch should mean it does it a whole lot less.

Stability improvements (PC)

  • Fixed a crash occurring during the initial boot of the game for some users.
  • crashes while disconnecting from a Blackout match is fixed.
  • Fixed a crash occurring when multiple windows were broken simultaneously in a Blackout match.
  • crashes while browsing unlockable Items is fixed
  • Fixed crashes occurring when changing texture quality.
  • Improved handling of “Out of Memory” errors.

Multiplayer

  • TDM playlist now supports parties of 6 (was previously 5).
  • Featured playlist changed to Heist.
  • Custom Search and Destroy games will now correctly conclude after one team wins 6 rounds total, fixing an issue where custom games previously ended at round 7.
  • Addressed a crash caused by earning multiple Medals in a match.

Blackout

  • 100-Players Duos is now the Featured playlist for Blackout.
  • Quads playlist is now 88 maximum players. We’re continuing to update various game settings to ensure the best experience for all players across all platforms and modes

Miscellaneous

  • “Object View Distance” setting now properly renders objects further on “High” than on “Low” in Blackout

Zombies

  • Addressed a UI error caused by losing Internet connection in split screen.
  • Addressed an issue that caused Hellhounds to exhibit some very… un-doglike behavior

General

  • General stability improvements and crash fixes.
  • The Featured playlist tiles for Multiplayer and Blackout have changed. This is part of the regular rotation of Featured playlists – more details to come on how Featured playlists will work in Black Ops 4 in a separate update

System Requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

From the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes to a brand new tale set in the brutal and twisted universe of witcher Geralt of Rivia. System Requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher TalesThe world stands on the verge of chaos, as the tensions between the power-hungry Nilfgaardian Empire and proud Northern Realms grow. Facing an imminent invasion, Meve — war-veteran Queen of Lyria and Rivia — is forced to once again enter the warpath, and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge. Here are the System Requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.

The system requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales have chopped and changed over the last few months. With the October 23rd launch coming, CD Projekt RED has concluded on the system specs. First set to be included with Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales has spiraled into its own 30-hour long gameplay, interchanging traditional combat for card battling. At first look, Thronebreaker looks like an RPG that should be playable on just about any system, but let’s see how that goes…

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Celeron G1820 2.7 GHz or AMD APU A4-7300 3.7 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GT 730 or Radeon R7 240
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 15 GB Available Hard Drive Space

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7 GHz or AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7 265
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 15 GB Available Hard Drive Space

In short, Thronebreaker is the perfect game for gamers who struggle to run the mighty The Witcher 3. It’s absolute laptop grain. The sort of game you can play on near about any system and be sure it’ll run. Even if you’re going with near the minimum requirements for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, the turn-based Gwent gameplay has a steady frame rate isn’t massively significant.

What this means for anyone with an actual, modern gaming PC, is, unsurprisingly, you’re going to be able to run Thronebreaker without any trouble. Probably you can play it at 4k 60 fps.

Things We Know About Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2’s release is just about here and we’ve put together a list of things you may want to know before jumping into this giant big open world. Here are 10 Things We Know About Red Dead Redemption 2.

Gang

Things We Know About Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 follows the Vanderlin gang after a heist goes wrong this forces them to go on the run trying to avoid the lawmen and bounty hunters. With all this going on the gang starts to face some tension and the threat of the game disbanding starts to get more and more real. This isn’t concrete but it’s safe to assume that we get to see the gang fall apart. And maybe even see John Marston break away from the gang or getting captured by the feds.

I think it’s also safe to assume that we’ll see the black border Massacre as well seeing that it has been talked about heavily in Red Dead Redemption 1 and the timing lines up.

Different Angle

When GTA 5 launched on PS4 Rockstar made it so you could play the entire game and first-person. It made the game feel surprisingly different just from changing the camera angle. And in the red dead 2 Rockstar made the same move by making the entire game playable in first-person.

It’s anything like GTA 5, it definitely doesn’t control like a first-person shooter. But it’s still 100% playable. We’ve only got a little bit of footage of it so far, and from that little bit I’ve seen I can tell you that I’m definitely gonna mess around with it for a little bit.

Gang’s Moral

Not only is your gang a huge part of the narrative in Red Dead 2 but it’s also a big part of the gameplay as well. it’s your job to keep gang morale up. Your camp is something that you can invest in as well with time and money. Donating money to the camp will give you the ability to upgrade it later on and you’re also able to go out and chop wood or even go hunting for food to add to the camp supply.

You can, of course, interact with everyone at your camp with the camp morale affecting how they respond to you. Keeping morale up is definitely a good idea because your gang members can give you leads on new money-making opportunities, and they’re also able to join you in the open world as a backup.

Map & Towns

As expected Red Dead 2 takes place in a living breathing world with a map filled with things to do and places to explore. You have frontier towns like Valentine which is your typical looking western as a town. Then you have cities like Saint-Denis, then you have a Bayou town, then, of course, is Blackwater and some other smaller towns mixed in. With wilderness and other biomes all in between, each town city and settlement will also be home to their own cast of townsfolk and exercise activities like poker.

GTA 5’s Los Santos felt very populated in like a real living City and I’m sure Red Dead 2 is going to feel even more lived-in than that.

Horse

Your horse is way more than just a way to get around this time. In Red Dead 2 you actually build up a bond with your horse and you have to take care of it. The more you take care of your horse the more you bond with it and bonding can actually unlock additional skills for your horse and overall provide a smoother ride. Brushing your horse, petting it after it gets spooked, and feeding it are all things that you’re gonna have to do to build up that bond.

You’re also able to have more than one horse at a time and store them at stables all over the map. Having different horses is very useful too, seeing that different breeds are better for different scenarios. Therefore, maybe there’s one that’s better during a fight, or maybe one that’s faster, or maybe one that’s just an all-around good boy.

Health

While you will have your horse and guns to take care of in Red Dead Redemption 2, the most important thing to take care of is yourself. Eating and bathing are two things that you’re gonna have to do regularly.

If Arthur’s health or stamina gets low it will affect how he controls making him dizzy and making his vision all blurry. Eating will restore these bars and make Arthur feel better. Keeping yourself clean is also something you’re gonna have to do, if you’re dirty, smelly, or covered in blood people will react to you differently. Walking to a shop covered in blood and dirt doesn’t guarantee you service and you may be kicked out. Your hair also grows as the game progresses so if you like the clean shaven look you’re gonna have to hit the barber every so often to get a trim.

Activities

Seeing that Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open world game Rockstar is definitely going to be filling it with extra side activities to keep you busy when you need to take a break from the main story.

There are activities like hunting, robbing stores, you have the option to head into town to acquire a bounty that you can hunt down. Then there are cards to be played, dominoes to be played, you can also play a five-finger fillet. You can go dancing, you can also catch a stage show, and then, of course, there are side missions which are supposedly going to be much more involved this time around and may even be multi-part missions.

Hunting

Hunting was a pretty important mechanic and Red Dead Redemption. Hunting and collecting pelts from different animals was a great way to make cash and also unlocked outfits, hunting returns and Red Dead 2 but some changes have been made to it.

For one the skinning animation is much more gruesome, it actually shows Arthur skinning it and rolling up his pelt. You now also have to store the pelt and the carcass on your horse and actually get it into town and sell it. Also, it does spoil over time so you don’t want to take too long getting it to town. The carcass you could also sell outright or bring it to a butcher pay them to cut it down for you so you can use it for cooking.

Legendary animals are also making a return which if you don’t remember you had to hunt to craft all the badass outfits in Red Dead Redemption 1. Overall this time hunting is just way more involved.

Weapons

Weapons have gone through major changes this time around. First off weapons are fully customizable with you being able to engrave them with different designs or maybe wrap the grip in leather.

You’re also able to see every weapon you have actually on Arthur so you’ll see two pistols, two longer weapons like a shotgun and a bow, and any throwable that you’re carrying. Just like Max Payne 3, if you’re using a rifle and you switch to a pistol Arthur will still hold the rifle in one hand while shooting his pistol.

Weapons will also degrade over time, hopefully not as bad as Breath of the wild. So you will have to keep up with your weapons cleaning them and what not to prevent them from jamming. You’re also able to shoot weapons out of enemy’s hands or even outright break them if you want to take a less lethal approach.

Dialogue & Conversation

Rockstar is adding a new dynamic conversation system into Red Dead 2 that actually sounds pretty interesting. Not only are there different dialogue options but what you say and how you say it will affect the outcome of a situation. You’ll also have the ability to talk your way out of certain situations as well.

When you aim at someone with your gun holstered it actually opens up a dialogue menu with different choices to choose from. There are going to be a ton of different random encounters throughout the world that you can run into. Each one having a different reaction depending on how you deal with it.

There is an example online where Arther actually saved someone from a snake attack and a few days later after walking around a town that NPC popped up and noticed Arthur. It turned out that he was the owner of the town’s gun shop and he offered Arthur a free gun of his choice. It’s nice to know that you can interact with the world more than just your gun.

Those are the things you need to know about Red Dead Redemption 2.

Henry Cavill confirmed to play Geralt in Netflix’s Witcher Series

Henry is going to play as Geralt in the upcoming Netflix’s Witcher series, it is official. He met with Lauren to discuss the role four months ago in April, the showrunner confirmed on Twitter.

According to The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich,  Henry Cavill is the first choice to portray Geralt of Rivia. Lauren also made sure to reveal her excitement about Cavill entering the project, saying he has always been the Geralt in her eyes.

Lauren S. Hissrich

@LHissrich

He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion. That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family.

Besides that, Cavill gave the news with a funny Instagram image of his new Netflix username, Geralt of Rivia. Furthermore, he unveiled his new mailing address is now in Kaer Morhen Valley.Henry's instagram image

Cast

As for the whole cast, she explained, “Without spoiling anything, I think it will vary. There will be episodes that are epic in scale, and those that are more intimate. These stories demand that flexibility”. Lauren also confirmed that the pilot episode is already written and will be finished before they cast and shoot it. There are no clues who other the actors are yet, but Lauren posted on twitter that she has “some dream casting happening”.

Release and Episodes

The first season will consist of eight episodes. The remaining seven episodes are thought out, with Lauren saying they “don’t yet exist, except in my head.” She said if she had an idea as to how much of the Witcher story would be told in the eight episodes. Lauren said that she has a “pretty firm idea” but that there’s “lots of room to finesse and grow and adapt as the season continues.” She also shared the news that she’s being joined by new writers, but hasn’t mentioned any names just yet.

Netflix’s The Witcher series is based on the bestselling fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, which tracks the adventures of lone monster hunter Geralt of Rivia.

The date for the premiere is not set yet, however, the series is expected to debut in 2020.

Upcoming games in September 2018

I hope you’re ready for some of the bigger titles of the year. Here are the 10 Upcoming games in September 2018 that you need to play.

10. Insurgency Sandstorm

Insurgency Sandstorm

The previous insurgency was an indie game that ended up breaking out to be quite a hit. Sandstorm is a continuation of the concepts, it’s a tactical FPS which focus mainly on close quarters type gameplay. It does have multiplayer, it is oriented more around objectives, and co-op, but there is small-scale head to head in an either mode single or multiplayer.

A lot of it focuses on ammunition management. And the kind of close quarters gameplay it brings to the table it does look quite good keeping in mind its indie roots. Furthermore, it is coming to PC on September 18th. It is probably going to be 2019 before we see it on consoles, but it looks like good stuff.

9. Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age

This is one cool looking Dragon Quest. It’s a mix of different styles of art that manages not to look like a mix of a couple of different styles of art. And that’s kind of how you can explain most of the game. Not necessarily by its graphics, but you get this huge world that you’re able to explore and engage in traditional battles which are fairly simple looking.

However, for me, that’s kind of a pro as opposed to a con and if it plays the way it looks which is a really great visual concoction of new and old cartoons, real fantasy and anime. I have heard about it being a little bit too traditional and that it doesn’t really advance the genre in any way, like in the way octopus traveler does. However, I wonder if that really matters, of course, we’ll have to play it before we know.

Besides that, on PC and PS4 the Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming on September 4th

8. NBA 2k19 20th Anniversary Edition

NBA 2k19 20th Anniversary Edition

I remember way back when the NBA 2k franchise launched. And so do the developers because they’ve made a specific version to celebrate 20 years of quote-unquote redefining what sports gaming can be. They call their game best-in-class in graphics and gameplay.

I’m inclined to agree, this is really a franchise that has taken its time, developed very well and looks absolutely amazing at this point. However, depending on your taste there’s a lot of modes for you to play with. I personally like playing basketball games on such games, but for those who do like the campaigns, there are stories that you play through.

They’ve got a relatively compelling looking one for this game. But, I’m basically like it because it is a great series. NBA 2k19 always implements good gameplay mechanical updates and although usually, they’re iterative, at this point they’ve proven that they do a good job with it.  NBA 2k19 20th Anniversary Edition is coming to ps4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo switch on September 7.

7. V-Rally 4

V-Rally 4

V-Rally 4 is a game that brings the series back. It debuted way back in the PlayStation era, the first time around EA published it in the US. They called it a need for speed V-Rally because rally racing wasn’t that popular in the US at that time. Ahead with two sequels, the last of which happened in 2002. V-Rally was a game that appeared on a few platforms including the Machine that was too good for this earth the Dreamcast. And it’s been a while since I’ve even thought about these games.

V-Rally 4’s footage doesn’t look like a throwback, but instead an incredibly good-looking rally game. Despite the fact we’ve actually seen some interest in these types of games recently still isn’t a crowded market. Therefore, honestly, I’m pretty excited about this, there need to be more games like this. V-Rally 4 is coming to ps4 and Xbox one September 7th and PC on the 25th.

6. Valkyria Chronicles 4

Valkyria Chronicles 4

It’s good there back to the actual strategy oriented gameplay of the mainline Valkyria Chronicles games. And they’re clearly going for a much more quote-unquote real feeling with the characters. But I mean if they’re paying any attention to how to do characters at all, that means they’ve learned a lesson from Valkyria revolution.

Therefore,  I’m looking forward to this, I’m really excited that they’ve gone back to their strategy roots and I’ll be picking it up when it comes to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo switch on September 25th.

5. NHL 19

NHL 19

NHL 19 is gonna hit this month. And a lot has been done to the skating physics. This is the main thing I’ve seen anybody commenting on the games brought up. NHL isn’t a series that has been particularly innovative for quite a while, so any changes in it are kind of big.

Furthermore, they are adding this mode that’s kind of a lifestyle multiplayer free-for-all mode. It may be really cool, but I’ve seen the word lifestyle used to describe it a lot and I’m not so sure how that fits in with a hockey video game. I’m more interested to find how the skating has changed and want to see all of the updates to that. It does look amazing and NHL 19 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One September 14th.

4. FIFA 19

FIFA 19

I just want to give you a heads up, it has a demo hitting on the 13th sep. So if you’re interested in checking out a lot of the changes for yourself that is an option. And I will be taking them up on that. However, a lot of the aesthetic changes are made. Specifically, cinematics for teams, fans, and even when you transfer a player.

On top of that, the licensing has been greatly expanded, there are new stadiums, there are three different playable characters for the journey. Besides that, it overall looks like a good addition and a good development for FIFA. FIFA 19 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on the September 28th. And the demo is coming on the 13th.

3. Life is Strange 2 Episode 1

Life if Strange 2 Episode 1

If you want to know my opinion on life is strange, I have a positive one. Life is strange was really interesting, it was about apocalyptic phenomena, it was about traveling through time, and it was also about the teenage experience. Furthermore, the setup is that something supernatural ends up killing a cop and a pair of young brothers one 9 and other 16 ends up on a road trip.

Starting in Seattle the first episode is of course called Seattle and it’s hitting on September 27th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

2. Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

The new Tomb Raider reboot is going well. Apparently, they’ve done a lot with the theme of descent sort of a metaphorical downturn. But also perhaps an embracing of the game in some of the maybe less savory ideas that it depends on. I don’t know it’s sounding a little bit more brutal to me which I like. And I’ve really enjoyed the rebooted Tomb Raider series so far so I’m pretty much here no matter what.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 14.

1. Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man

Of course, at number one is Spider-man. Spider-man has been one of the coolest looking games since they’ve announced it. Just seeing all of the actual well done looking web-slinging. But moreover, all of the combat we’ve seen leading up to, it is just something that makes this game look special. Insomniac games experience with sunset overdrive definitely shows.

And there’s not a lot to say about this game that you can’t just infer from the visuals and there’s a lot to look forward to. I’m really looking forward to it. Spider-man is coming to the PS4 on September 7th and I’m just totally sold on this game.
